She is still growing at the rate of half a pound a week. Amazing! I told my mom today that if this doesn't slow down eventually, we're going to be on Dr. Phil for having an enormous baby!!
Seriously, though, she is doing so well and I'm so thankful to God that she is thriving like she is. What a miracle.
In other health news, the sniffles that she had when we first got her never went away and this past week it seemed to get a little worse. We're not sure if it was due to her getting a few vaccinations, or that we started using a humidifier, or that we switched her formula to powder. All three things happened at the beginning of last week, so it could be any of them, a combination, or none. Either way, I spoke with a nurse at our pediatrician's office yesterday and she said to stop the humidifier, which we had already done. They're supposed to help, but in Clara's case it seemed to be hurting. And she has seemed to be better since stopping it, so that's good. She never got too sick, her temperature has been fine and she's eating and sleeping okay, so it's not a big deal. And she's growing like a weed so she's obviously healthy!
Clara is having some visitors this week and we are just so excited we can't even contain ourselves! Tomorrow our friends N, D and baby L are stopping by. Then on Thursday, Aunt Amy and Uncle Joe are flying in. We can't wait!!
Here are some more pictures to leave you with:
Two peas in a pod.
This is the digital image I chose from Clara's free photo shoot. She slept for about an hour while a very lovely and talented photographer took some pictures, and now we have this adorable image. Good deal!

What an adorable picture of her and Ryan!! Wow, so cute!
Great pics! I wanted you to know how we helped Charlie when he had the sniffles. We elevated his bed or had him sleep in his carseat when he was congested (inside his crib). That surprises me about the humidifier, but unless it is brand new, I would try maybe changing the filter. I heard they do more harm than good if dirty, so that might help? One more thing, all of Charlie's colds turned into ear infections before they were done, so if she starts fussy a lot out night and doesn't want to be laid down in her crib, or fusses more and pulls off when taking a bottle, those are signs it may be the ears. Just a heads up since that is pretty common. Good luck-I hope she feels better soon!
Hope Clara feels better soon! I love those pics - she is adorable :).
